flammable cloth mats and placemats
FONDUE SAFELY!
• Always unplug the appliance when it is not in
use or when you are servicing the appliance.
• Beware of spatters. Prevent spatters. See
further down in this document.
• Beware of hot parts. The accessible surfaces
can get hot when the fondue pan is in use.
• Make sure your hands are dry before you
touch the appliance.
• Do not move the appliance when the power
is on, when the housing is still hot or when the
ingredients are still hot.
• Make sure the cord is placed in such a way
that no one accidentally pulls it or trips over it.
Prevent the fondue pan from falling over with
hot contents!
FILLING
• The fondue pot has a minimum and maximum
fill line. Fill the pan to a level that is between
these lines and maintain this level while
fonduing.
• Note: overfilling can cause spattering.
Insufficient filling may cause overheating.
• Change oil regularly if used.
• Other ingredients such as cheese, chocolate
or broth should be discarded after each use
and freshly added for the next use.
GENERAL USAGE
• Fill the fondue pan. Make sure that the level of
the oil or liquid fat is between the minimum
and maximum markings on the pan.
• Insert the plug into the socket at this point,
and not before.
• The appliance is switched on by turning the
thermostat to the desired temperature. The
temperature can be set between 70°C and
180°C. Please refer to the food packaging for
the desired temperature and cooking time.
• While the appliance is on, the temperature
light will go on and off. The appliance
is equipped with a thermostat to keep the
ingredients at the required temperature. The
temperature indicator light will remain
on while the fondue plan is heating up. The
temperature indicator light will go off once the
desired temperature has been reached.
• Allow the appliance to preheat for
approximately 10 minutes to the desired
temperature.
• Check regularly whether the level of the
fondue liquid is between the minimum and
maximum markings on the pan. If necessary,
add oil or liquid fat.
• After use, switch off the appliance, unplug it
and wait for it to cool down.
• When the appliance is not being used, store it
in a dry place.
