FASTENER ADJUSTMENT
The FSSW requires adjustment to use SW7437 or
SW9040 staples as follows:
1. Remove the four screws that hold plate 016 in place (Fig
5 and 6)
2. If using SW7437 staples configure the plate (016) is fitted
as shown in Fig 5. If using SW9040 staples configure the
plate (016) is fitted as shown in Fig 6. The name of the
required fastener family should be displayed.
3. Refit the plate by refitting the four screws.
TOOL OPERATION
1. Put the carton into the required position.
Note: Straighten the center line of the carton to the
cover’s A center line.
2. Press the step board set down by foot until it stops, then
release the step board.
Note: If there is not a carton in position, do not depress
the foot lever.
TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUTION! Pusher spring (constant force spring).
Caution must be used when working with the spring
assembly. The spring is wrapped around, but not attached
to, a roller. If the spring is extended beyond its length, the
end will come off the roller and the spring will roll up with
a snap, with a chance of pinching your hand. Also, the
edges of the spring are very thin and could cut. Care must
also be taken to insure no permanent kinks are put in the
spring as this will reduce the spring’s force.
