Use a 5.0 mm (13/64 inch) drill bit to drill holes through the center of the marked
locations.
5.
Push the plastic screw anchors into the drilled holes.
6.
Screw the mounting plate to the ceiling or wall.
7.
Pull the battery tab to power the detector.
8.
Align the detector on the mounting plate and twist clockwise to attach and power the
detector.

9.
Press the Test/Silence button on the detector to make sure the detector operates
correctly.
