6.2
Locations to avoid
Do not place CO detectors in the following locations:
–
within 1m (3ft) of a cooking appliance
–
directly above a sink or in a damp, humid, or dusty area
–
in a drafty location
–
in an enclosed space
–
where it could be obstructed
–
near solvent fumes or air fresheners
6.3
Installation procedure
Notice!
The CO detector with the mounting plate attached can stand on a flat surface without
mounting.
1.
Remove the mounting plate from the detector.
2.
Place the mounting plate on the ceiling or wall where you want to mount the detector and
mark the location of the 2 screw holes.
3.
Use a 5.0 mm (13/64 in) drill bit to drill holes through the center of the marked locations.
