1.1.1
Functions
The storage system fulfils the following functions:
Optimises and balances the energy flow in order to
maximise the proportion of solar power
consumption.
Stores the photovoltaic energy that is not used at
the moment of generation in the batteries.
Supplies the PV energy stored in the batteries when
the amount of solar energy generated is not
sufficient.
Supplies the stored or newly generated solar energy
when the public power grid is not available.
Feeds solar power into the public power grid.
1.1.2
System modes
The storage system can run in two different system
modes:
Grid operation mode
Emergency power mode
The system modes differ in their connection between
the storage system to the public power grid.
Grid operation mode
Grid operation mode ensures good temporal
synchronisation between energy generation in the PV
system and own energy consumption in the in-house
grid connected. This increases the proportion of own
energy consumption in this system mode.
The storage system's energy management system
(EMS) controls the energy flow of the power that is
generated by the PV system. The EMS continuously
requests information on the current energy flow at
the connection point between the house and the
public power grid.
