5.1 Safety measures and important instructions
Please take note!
If you experience discomfort during a measurement – press
the
left button
(START/STOP) to deflate the cuff immediately.
Open the cuff and take it off. Please contact BodyTel Europe
GmbH.
In addition, please note:
•
If you suffer from heartbeat irregularities, you should consult
your doctor about whether blood pressure monitoring with
the PressureTel
™
is appropriate for you.
•
Please also consult your doctor if you are taking anticoagu-
lants (e.g. Marcumar, Aspirin)
•
To produce precise values, the device should stand on a
hard surface. The cuff should be fixed around the bare upper
arm (see diagram). For measuring, sit comfortably on a chair
with your hands resting on your thighs.
•
The device is suitable for upper arms with a circumference
of 24–32 cm when using the M-cuff and 32–38 cm when
using the L-cuff. The L-cuff can be obtained directly from
BodyTel Europe GmbH.
•
Do not under any circumstances use the device in the bath
or the shower. If, however, liquid gets into the device, you
must remove the batteries immediately and refrain from
further use. Contact our service department.
•
The device may not be used near a nuclear magnetic reso-
nance tomograph.
•
Using components that are not part of the scope of delivery
can produce faulty measurements (Exception: battery
replacement).
