1016BVM OPERATION 

A. START-UP 

 

       For initial start-up, or if the brewer has not been used for an         
       extended period of time:  

 
      

  Be sure spray disk and brew gasket are properly installed in the   

           brew head.

Be sure the water supply is properly connected and the water        

           supply valve is turned 

ON

 
      

♦  

Be sure the WATER TANK IS FILLED. 

  

IMPORTANT:  

Fill the water tank before energizing this unit: 

 
1.

Insert the brew chamber (empty) and place an EMPTY decanter in 
 place under the brew chamber. 

 
2.

Connect unit to electric power.  Four beeps will sound and all lights 
 glow until the four beeps have finished sounding. 

 
3.

Be sure the brewer is "

OFF

" (if necessary, press ON/OFF key until 

 no LEDs are lit). 

 
4.

Press BREW key three (3) times, then press CANCEL key once. 
 BREW and HEAT indicators will flash while tank is filling. 

 
5.    When water starts to flow from the brew chamber, the tank is full. 
       Press ON/OFF key once to terminate fill.  Heating element will be 
       energized and will begin heating water in preparation for the first 
       brew.  When the water has reached the proper temperature, the
       HEAT light will go out. 

IMPORTANT: 

Tank must be full of water 
before pressing POWER
