Setup Guide
6.1 “Local Provision IPv4 Global Config” Tab
Most applications will use IPv4 configuration. On the “Local Provision IPv4 Global Config” sub-tab, the following settings can
be configured:
Global DHCP <ON or OFF>: will enable DHCP address assignment to all CMs when ON.
Note: Global DHCP and CPE Switch both must be set to ON in order for DHCP address assignment to be enabled
on CPEs.
CPE Switch <ON or OFF>: allows user to turn off DHCP to CPEs, if using static IPs or a different DHCP server for customer
CPE devices, when OFF.
Section 6 - Configuring DHCP/TFTP
In the CMTS web interface, the left menu navigation has a menu item titled “Local-Provision Management”. Click that and
a new tab will open that will allow you to set up the DHCP server and TFTP server to allow the CMTS to assign IP addresses
and send the config file to the CMs.
