Tripping Characteristic
The tripping time depends on the level of overcurrent. In the case of a short circuit, the de-
fective circuit will be shut down reliably within a few milliseconds. The level of the short cir-
cuit current depends on the current limiting of the feeding power supply as well as the line
resistance. A characteristic describes this behavior in Figure 3.
