5. Operating
During operating the BMP-335, the following additional safety instructions must be followed closely.
Before switching on the machine make sure that no-one can be endangered when the machine starts up.
5.1 Before starting up

Make sure that the cutters / drum do not hit the ground. The quick lift lever must be in upper position
and the fine adjustment must be turned up.

Connect the BMP-335 to the dust collector with the dust hose. Make sure there is a good and airtight
connection, use hose clamps and industrial tape.

Check if the drum mounted the right way.

Connect the BMP-335 and the dust collector with the power supply. Make sure the right electrical
connection is available for the machine.

Check the height of the brushes underneath the drum housing. Loosen the nuts and slide the brushes
up or down to match the working depth.
5.2 Starting up the machine

Turn on the dust collector

Put the cord of the dead man switch around the right wrist.

Check if the paddles of the drive system are engaged, and the joysticks are in the neutral position.
 Start the machine by pushing first the green button of the drive motor and then the green button of
the scarify motor.

Slowly let down the quick lift lever.
 Turn the fine adjustment counterclockwise until the desired working depth is reached.
 Set the drive speed with the turning knob.
All persons in the proximity of the machine must wear safety glasses with lateral
protection as well as safety shoes and ear protection. The operator is obliged to wear
close-fitting protective clothing and a dust mask.
