Change the settings for emergency broadcast messages
Depending on your region, some settings might not be available.

Do any of the following:
• To receive a reminder for emergency broadcast messages, tap
Alert reminder
, and then tap how often you want
to receive a reminder.
• To stop your device from vibrating when you receive an emergency broadcast message, clear the
Vibrate
checkbox.
• To turn off the text-to-speech feature, clear the
Speak alert message
checkbox.
• To stop receiving emergency broadcast messages, clear the
Show extreme threats
,
Show severe threats
, and
Show AMBER alerts
checkboxes.
Data usage
Data usage refers to the amount of data that your device uploads and downloads when it is connected to the wireless
network. If you share your device with others, you can monitor the amount of data used by the device owner, guest, and any
user profiles on the device. Only the device owner can change the data usage settings.
If you exceed the data limit of your plan, your service provider might charge you additional fees. For more information about
your data limit, check your wireless service plan.
Monitor your wireless data usage
You can check how much data you use by wireless network type, time period, app, or in total.

Do any of the following:
• To check how much data you used during the current data usage cycle, view the value beside the time period.
• To check how much data an app used, view the value beside the app name.
• To check how much data each user profile set up on the device used, tap a user profile.
• To check how much data you used during a different time period, beside the current time period, tap

. Tap a date, and then tap

Tip:
You can close some apps to help reduce your data usage.
