POCKETMAIL COMPOSER
Appendix. Caring for the
PocketMail Composer
The Composer contains sophisticated circuitry that can be damaged if it is not
handled with care. You should take a few precautions in caring for the Composer
so that it gives you many years of reliable and trouble-free use.
• Keep the Composer away from extreme heat. Do not leave it on the dashboard
of a car or near any other source of heat. Do not leave it in any place that is
extremely damp or dusty.
• Do not drop the Composer or subject it to severe impact or extreme force.
• Make sure that the Composer is adequately protected when carrying it with
other objects. Do not carry it loose in a bag or briefcase. Instead, find a pocket
or secure compartment within your bag.
• Clean the Composer only with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents.
• Do not carry the Composer around in your back pocket, because it may break
when you sit down.
• The Composer is not waterproof. Do not use it or store it where fluids can
splash onto it. Raindrops, water spray, juice, coffee, steam, and perspiration
will also cause it to malfunction.
• Replace the batteries as soon as they become weak. Failing to replace weak
batteries may result in leakage or lost data. A Battery Low screen pops up to
inform you when the battery is low.
