CHAPTER 7: Personal Organizer
The To-Do list screen presents a three-column list of entries showing, from left to
right, Priority, Description, and Date. The status line at the top of the screen shows
which item is currently selected and a scroll bar on the right side shows whether
there are more entries above or below those currently displayed.
The following menu options become available when you press
.
• New: displays a blank To-Do item for editing.
• Edit: opens the currently selected item for editing.
• Delete: displays a “Confirm Deletion” dialog for the currently selected entry.
• Sort: offers options to sort by Priority, Description, or Date.
To create a new To-Do item:
1. Access the To-Do list.
2. Press
and select New from the menu. A blank To-Do item is displayed
with the cursor in the Description field.
3. Type a brief description of the item.
NOTE
Only the first 26 characters of the description are shown in the To-Do
list view. You must go into the item itself to view any text beyond 26
characters.
4. Press
or
to move to the Date field.
5. Type the date for this item, then move down to the Priority field.
6. Use the arrow keys to select a priority level for this item.
7. Press
to save the details you have entered. You’ll be returned to the
To-Do list.
To edit a To-Do item:
1. In the To-Do list, use the arrow keys to move to the item you wish to edit.
2. Press
and select Edit from the menu.
