1.

 

Press the Default button to reset the oscilloscope to its factory default setup state.

Connect the ground alligator clip of the probe to the ground terminal under the probe 
compensation signal output terminal.

Connect the probe to channel 1's BNC connector.  Connect the tip of the probe to  the 
compensation signal output terminal.

Press the Auto Setup button.

Observe the waveform on the screen and compare it to the following figure.

Use  a  nonmetallic  flat-head  screwdriver  to  adjust  the  low-frequency  compensation 
adjustment screw on the probe until the waveform matches the “Correctly compensated” 
waveform above. 

We  recommend  you  check  probe  compensation  daily  or  after  the  probe  has  been  used  on 
another instrument.
