For safe slicing of remnants we recommend the following:
Fig. 31: Insert product ends
Place product ends on feeding carriage,
place on carriage rear wall allowing the
original cut surface to points to the rem-
nant holder plate.
For slicing of tied products, first cut-off
tied end by hand.
Swivel product holder with handle, place
behind
product and slightly press in
spikes.

Option bias cut device
This device can be easily converted from straight cut to bias cut. The conversion is descri-
bed in chapter 5.7.
Slicing long product

Place product on bias cut plate and
gauge plate.
Position the product fixation against the
product.
Turn in product holder and position on
the product.
Switch on machine.
Set slice thickness at knob.
Fingers of right hand hold the product,
thumb rests behind bias cut plate.
Uniformly slide carriage forth and back,
simultaneously apply slight pressure to
product by hand and push towards
blade.
Slices drop on depositing area or are re-
moved from deflector with left hand.
If necessary, re-clamp product holder.
Once the slicing process is completed set slice thickness to "0".
Switch off machine.
Slicing short product
Lift bias cut plate up, position at back panel and position into hole for straight cut. Use
pin to fasten it underneath the plate in the carriage opening.
