EXAMPLES
4.6.3.1 Placement for Rib or
Oblique Pain in One Location
Use the U-set:
Place the round
Pain Site Electrode directly over
the painful area in the mid-torso
region. The photo to the right
shows an electrode placement
example for rib pain. The round
Pain Site Electrode should NOT
be placed directly over the heart
on the anterior of the thorax. The
comfortable location for the large
rectangular Dispersive Electrode
is horizontally across the lumbar
region on the lower back as in the
photo above.
Body Position:
For mid-torso placements, sitting in a supported upright
or partially reclined position is the most comfortable position during the
treatment for the patient. Legs may be bent or straight.
