BioTek Instruments, Inc. 

 

Disconnect the waste tube from the Carrier port when you are not 

using the vacuum filtration carrier. An internal valve preserves the 

vacuum required to perform standard aspiration. 

Installation Final Check 

1.

 

Verify that the tubing was not crimped during installation. 

2.

 

Make sure the fluid supply and the waste output tubes are attached to 

the appropriate manifold ports. Lift the manifold mounting bracket up 

or back to make sure the tubing to the manifold is not being pulled too 

tightly. 

3.

 

Vacuum Filtration models: make sure there is sufficient room behind 

the washer for the waste tubing attached to the special carrier to move 

during operation. 

  

Attach the Mist Shield 

The mist shield is also called the aerosol cover.
