
HOMEX 7 – User Guide
1. Foreword
Thank you for purchasing the HOMEX 7, a semi-automated homogenizing device for the grinding of plant samples
such as leaves, wood, roots, seeds, and tubers.
The HOMEX 7 is ideal for high throughput applications and allows you to load up to 5 extraction bags. This user
guide describes the HOMEX 7 functionalities, safety and operation instructions. Please read this user guide carefully
before using the HOMEX 7 for the first time and keep it for later reference and troubleshooting.
1.1. Content check
Please check the packing list (see chapter 7) when you first open the HOMEX 7 packaging. If the instrument is da-
maged or items are missing, please contact us immediately.

2. Safety warnings and guidelines
Read this user guide before operating the instrument for the first time and follow the safe operating procedures
described below.
2.1. Safe Operating Procedures
The operation, maintenance and repair of the instrument should comply with the basic usage guidelines and the
warnings listed below. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in injury, affect the life span of the instru-
ment and may result in the invalidation of the warranty.
•
Do not carry the HOMEX 7 by yourself. Never carry
the HOMEX 7 holding it by the rack, the handle, or
by any other external part. For short distances at
least 2 people should carry the instrument holding it
by the base plate.
•
In case you need to ship the HOMEX 7, always use
the original packaging.
•
Do not drop the HOMEX 7.
•
This device has been designed for indoor and non-
extreme temperature conditions use only.
•
In case the device is malfunctioning or is damaged,
the operator should not try to repair it. This will
result in the loss of warranty and may cause serious
injury. If the device is not working properly or is de-
fect, please contact the manufacturer immediately.
•
Before connecting the device to a power socket,
make sure the voltage stated on the rating label
of the product corresponds to the voltage in your
power socket.
•
Ensure that the power plug does not come into
contact with water or moisture.
•
Do not disconnect the device from the power
socket by pulling on the power cord. This could
damage the power cord or the power socket. Dis-
connect the cord from the power socket by gently
pulling the plug of the power cord.
•
Always place the instrument on a horizontal, stable
and even surface. The surface must be resistant to
heat and fluids.
•
Any liquid in contact with the electronic parts of the
device may cause damage and provide a significant
hazard.
•
The instrument should be placed in a dry, cool and
dust-free environment with no exposure to direct
sunlight. The instrument should be used only in a
well-ventilated environment, with no corrosive gas
or strong disturbing magnetic field, away from cen-
tral heating and other heat sources.
•
Switch off the instrument when you finished to work.
•
Pull out the connector plug when you don’t use the
device for a long period of time. Clean the instru-
ment and cover it with a cloth to protect from dust.
Do not:
•
Use the instrument for anything other than its
intended use.
•
Use a different power supply unit than the
one supplied (Art. No. 400028).
•
Use the instrument if the cable to the power
supply unit is damaged.
•
Pull the connector plug and contact the vendor in
the case:
•
The instrument is drenched or fire burned.
•
The instrument produces abnormal noises or
smells.
•
The instrument dropped.
•
The instrument does not function properly.
