1. Select a matching guide cone (
9
) and slide it over the cutter head holder (
1
) as shown in the
illustration. The sleeve will center and guide the cutter head holder inside the injector shaft.
2. Select a matching cutter head (
6
) by comparison with sealing ring / injector and attach it with the
setscrew to the cutter head holder.
3. Cover the metal removing side of the cutter head with grease.
4. Set the adjusting ring to the correct height:
a. Position the pre-assembled tool inside the injector shaft. The cutter head must be sitting on
the injector sealing face.
b. Make sure for correct fitting inside the injector shaft and fix the adjusting ring with the
setscrew. Caution: the height needs to be set exactly in order to avoid too much material being
removed from the sealing face.
5. Clean the sealing face by rotating the cutter head holder by hand.
6. After cleaning, carefully remove the tool from the injector shaft.
7. Attach the sealing cap (
8
) to the cap rod (
7
) and insert it into the combustion chamber bore.
8. Push down the assembly rod, cover the injector shaft with a cloth and remove contaminants with
compressed air (Caution: wear safety goggles).
9. Check the sealing cap for firm seating in the bore and screw the assembly rod out of the sealing
cap (leaving the combustion chamber bore closed)
10. Insert the injector shaft cleaning brush (
4
) into the brush holder (
5
).
11. Now, the injector shaft can be cleaned by hand or with a power drill. Due to lack of space or for
other reasons, it may become necessary to use the brush holder extension (
3
).
12. After cleaning, screw the cap rod (
7
) into the installed sealing cap (
8
), push the cap down, cover
the injector shaft with a cloth and remove contaminants with compressed air (Caution: wear safety
goggles).
13. Use the cap rod (
7
) to remove the sealing cap (
8
) from the combustion chamber bore.
