START PROCEDURE
11.
Turn the
DISINFECT Switch
found on the back of the PB2 to
the
DISINFECT
position.
- The PB2 will start up and immediately start
pulling solution up through the Disinfect Hose
and out through the Product Hose.
* If a loud pulsating noise occurs for more than 15 seconds, turn the DISINFECT SWITCH
to the OFF position, then repeat steps 8 through 10 to reseat the hoses.
* Never run the PB2 in Disinfect Mode without a solution being pulled up through the
Disinfect Hose, which will cause the pump to run dry and damage it.

Recirculation:
- If NOT equipped with a Divert-to-Drain, allow the PB2 to recirculate the solution for 15 minutes,
then proceed to Step#13.
- If equipped with a Divert-to-
Drain…
… Allow solution to recirculate for 5 minutes,
… After 5 minutes, turn the
OPERATE Switch
to
OPERATE
, then to immediately to
OFF
. Do this four more times to allow solution to go through the product side of the
Divert-to-
Drain’s solenoid valve,
… Disconnect from the Divert-to-Drain the hose connecting the PB2’s “Product” port
to the Divert-to-
Drain’s “From RO” port.
… Disconnect the Product Hose from out of the Divert-to-Drain’s “Product Out” port,
… Connect the ends of these hoses together using these hoses’ own opposite end quick
disconnects.
… Allow to circulate for an additional 10 minutes.
13.
After 15 minutes of recirculation, turn the
DISINFECT Switch
to the
OFF
position.
14.
Disconnect the
Disinfect Hose
from the PB2’s Disinfect Port. Hold it upright and allow it to
drain into the Disinfect Jug, then disconnect it from the Disinfect Jug.
15.
Disconnect the
Product Hose
and the
Drain Hose
from the Disinfect Jug and place to drain.
- If equipped with a Divert-to-
Drain…
… Disconnect the two hoses previously connected together in Step#12,
… Reconnect the hose from the PB2’s “Product” port back to the Divert-to-Drain’s “From
RO” port on the Divert-to-Drain box,
… Reconnect the Product Hose back to the Divert-to-Drain’s “Product Out” port.
16.
Safely discard the solution in the Disinfect Jug.
17.
If disinfecting, then allow the solution to dwell for a minimum of 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
- If disinfecting, longer dwell times are acceptable especially if experiencing high microbiological
issues.
- No dwell time is necessary if cleaning.
RINSE PROCEDURE
18.
After the dwell time, turn the
OPERATE Switch
to the
OPERATE
position to restart the PB2.
- If the Low Pressure Alarm sounds press the
LOW PRESSURE ALARM RESET Button
on the
PB2.
- If the PB2 continues to go into Low Pressure Alarm, see
“
Low Pressure Alarm” Section.
19.
Allow the product water to run to drain for 30-45 minutes to rinse solution from the PB2.
