4. OPERATION
OPERATION
The Concrete Block Clamp is being operated from the cabin of a fork ‐ lift truck or crane.
WORKING ORDER / OPERATION ORDER
While working with the Concrete Block Clamp, the working order below needs to be followed:

Please check if the Concrete Block Clamp has been properly secured to the lifting device
and the fork ‐ lift truck or crane;

Move the Concrete Block Clamp towards the concrete blocks;

Lower the clamp over the concrete block;

Lower the clamp a little more, until the locking mechanism is released;

Lift the clamp;

The harmonica construction of the clamp mechanism firmly holds the block while lifting
(Figure 6);

Drive with the concrete block towards the desired place;

Stack the block by lowering it in the right place on the ground or on other blocks (figure 7);

Lower the clamp until the safety mechanism locks;

Lift the clamp;

Continue the work.

Always drive slowly when moving a clamped concrete block! Always avoid
high speeds, to prevend the clamp from swinging and as a result lose the
concrete block. This could be worse when driving in bends and over bumpy
roads.
