3. COMMISSIONING THE CROP SPRAYER
3.1 ADAPTATION OF THE TRANSMISSION SHAFT
The length of the transmission shaft may require
adjustment depending on the tractor used with the
machine.
Here is the procedure to follow once the sprayer
has been hitched:
Align the jaw of the universal joint on the tractor's
power take-off.
Separate the two half-transmissions with universal
joints, couple them to the corresponding shaft, putting
the female protector on the tractor side.
Place the two half-transmissions with universal joints
alongside each other.
Mark and cut if necessary, keeping a play of 10 mm
between the end of the tube and the heel of the jaw.
Carefully de-burr the two tubes.
Grease the contact surfaces.

relation to the machine's axle.

Using a hacksaw, cut the protectors to the same
value as the half-transmissions with universal joints,
which should let the half-transmission-shafts jut out
by 20 mm compared to their protectors in the usage
position.
For your safety, the two half-transmissions with
universal joints must have minimum overlap of 300
mm.
Refit the transmission shaft, which is now ready to
use.

position.
