3 INSTALLATION
3.1 Standards
The use of gas appliances is subject to strict regulations. It is therefore
important that the UNI 7129 standard is observed.
For liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the installation must comply with the
requirements of the distributing companies and with the requirements of
the UNI 7131 standard.
3.2 Appliance positioning
IDRABALCONY
has been exclusively designed for outdoor installation
in a partially protected environment. For this reason it must be installed
outdoors or in open environments with an adequate aeration and natural
ventilation, without stagnation areas for combustion products, which must
be quickly dispersed, either naturally or by the wind.
The outlet of the appliance must be free from external obstructions, bodies
or objects that might impair correct flue expulsion and must feature guards
preventing people from getting into contact with it during or after operation:
possibility of overheating with consequent risk of burns.

3.3 Positioning
- The appliance should be installed on a suitable wall and it is essential
that the minimum spaces be left around it to allow for maintenance work
to be performed (
fig
. 5b).
- The appliance should not be positioned above a cooking appliance so
as to avoid kitchen vapour grease being deposited on it and affecting
operation.
- Heat-sensitive walls such as those made from wood should be protected
with suitable insulation.
During appliance installation the minimum distances of the outlet/suction
terminal must be respected according to what provided for by local current
regulation, complying with any other installed appliance, openings, archi-
tectural elements, limits.

3.4 Evacuating products of combustion
For information on evacuating the products of combustion, please refer to
UNI 7129 standard.
IDRABALCONY
is an A2-type appliance
and has therefore no flue outlet
and no combustion air suction pipes.
Flue gases are directly released into the environment through the integrat-
ed outlet, refer to fig
. 6.
Av
oid the in
halation of flue gases
.
Do not get into direct contact with flue gases as they can reach very
high tem
peratures, thus causing burns.
Do not get into direct contact with the outlet as it can reach very high
temperatures, thus causing burns.
To ensure correct flue expulsion, it is forbidden to obstruct or cover
(even partially) the outlet.
It is forbidden to stand near the appliance when in operation.
(*)
For A-type appliance, the minimum distance is the center position of the outlet
section of the combustion products in the atmosphere.
(**) In the positioning of the appliance must be adopted distances not less than 500
mm from sensitive materials to the action of the combustion products (for exam-
ple, gutters and pipes of plastic material, projecting elements of wood, etc.); for
smaller distances take adequate shielding in respect of said material.
