Unhook the subframe
(Method #1: subframe alone):
Refer to the “hook
-up
the subframe method # 1” section
for more details, because the unhooking is done in the
same way as the hooking, but in reverse order.
We consider here that the snowblower is already
unhooked from the subframe.
A.
Stop the vehicle,
see the procedure for stopping the
vehicle in the operation section
.
B.
Remove the rear pin connecting the rear subframe
to the rear hitch. (this has the effect of lowering the
rear of the subframe to the ground).
C.
Disconnect the PTO drive shaft from the vehicle.
D.
Place a wooden block under the lift arms.
E.
Start the vehicle and lower the lift arms onto the
wooden block.
F.
Stop the vehicle,
see the procedure for stopping the
vehicle in the operation section
.
G.
Remove the front pin from the subframe.
H.
Start the vehicle and activate the hydraulic cylinder
to lower the front part of the subframe.
I.
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses for the lifting
mechanism and remove them from their supports.
J.
Back the vehicle to release the subframe.
K.
Remove the rear hitch.
(Method #2: subframe with accessory
already installed):
IMPORTANT:
When an accessory is installed on the
vehicle, it is not recommended to use this method if
there is not enough clearance to slide the subframe
under the vehicle.
Refer to the “hook the subframe method # 2” section for
more details, because the unhooking is done in the same
way as the hooking, but in reverse order.
A.
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses for the chute and
wrap them around the chute.
B.
Lift the snowblower around 0.5

from ground.
C.
Stop the vehicle,
see the procedure for stopping the
vehicle in the operation section
.
D.
Remove the rear pin connecting the rear subframe
to the rear hitch.
E.
Lower the snowblower.
CAUTION:
The rear part of the subframe will drop to
the ground.
F.
Stop the vehicle,
see the procedure for stopping the
vehicle in the operation section
.
G.
Disconnect the PTO drive shaft from the vehicle.
NOTE:
This step is important to avoid damage to the
drive mechanism or the vehicle.
H.
Remove the rear hitch.
I.
Remove the front pin from the subframe.
J.
Start the vehicle and activate the hydraulic cylinder to
lower the front part of the subframe.
K.
Stop the vehicle,
see the procedure for stopping the
vehicle in the operation section
.
L.
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses for the lifting
mechanism and remove them from their supports.
M.
Back the vehicle to release the subframe.
