To adjust belt tension, remove the protective house, loosen the engine fastening screws. Using the
tightening screw on the cutting guide, tighten until an adequate level is achieved (between 8 - 10 mm).
Next, tighten the engine fastening screws and ensure that the pulleys are correctly aligned. Then, tighten the
lock of the tightening screw and assemble the belt guard. The machine is now ready to work again.
When a belt needs replacing, it is best to replace the whole set at a time.
Spindle oiling:
The height adjusting spindle must be oiled at least once a week. Frequency will depend on the intensity of
the work.
Daily:
Although the operator is referred to the engine manufacturer’s instruction, the following procedures should
be conducted on a daily basis:
- Check the level of engine oil and replace whenever necessary. However, the engine includes an oil level
alarm so that if the level is below the minimum the engine stops.
- Check the condition of the air filter and clean. If is worn or too dirty, replace.
- Check the spark plug and ensure that the gap between its electrodes is adequate (0.7mm).
- Maintain the feeding system clean.
- Maintain the cooling system clean.
- Oil the bearings.
- Periodically clean and oil the raising and lowering screw.
10.2. CLEANING
Cleaning the machine is fundamental for its operational life.
ANY CLEANING OPERATION MUST BE CONDUCTED WITH THE MACHINE STOPPED.
Because of the nature of the work it performs, it is inevitable that particles are thrown onto the machine. The
parts of the machine must be cleaned periodically using a wet cloth. Do not use pressurized water.
Rubble and the material residues from cutting must be removed.
Bear in mind the potential risk posed by materials from the works (concrete, mud, etc.) being thrown onto the
machine. Remove them immediately.
ATTENTION
Starting the machine without having every component properly installed and fixed is strictly prohibited.
