Dubbing recordings
onto DVD discs
You can copy recordings on the hard disk onto DVD+R and DVD+RW discs. It is
recommended that you use this function to regularly make backup of the recordings on the
hard disk to prevent loss of data should the hard disk is damaged.
If the time of the original recording on the hard disk is longer than the length available on the
disc, you will be prompted to change a disc when the space is full. Therefore, it is suggested that
you use blank discs when dubbing recordings.
Note:
You can dub up to 3 hours of a single recording from the hard disk to a disc despite of the recording quality.
1. If a disc is playing, press the
Stop
or
Stop
button on the remote control to stop playing the
disc.
2. Press the
DVD/HDD
button and make sure that
the ’
HDD
’ icon appears on-screen momentarily.
3. Press the
Play
button. The HDD recording list
will appear on-screen.
4. Press the
Up
or
Down
button to
highlight a recording you wish to dub. The
corresponding preview picture will appear in the
background.
5. Load an appropriate unfinalized and unprotected
DVD+R or DVD+RW type disc into the DVD
Recorder. Make sure that the remaining time for
recording on the disc is sufficient for the recording
to be dubbed.
6. Press the
Right
button. A submenu will display
on-screen.
7. Press the
Up
or

’, and then press the

8. Press the

button to highlight
’

’, and then press the

9. The DVD Recorder will start dubbing the selected
recording from the hard disk to the DVD disc. This
may take a few minutes depending on the length of
the recording. A progress bar will also display on-
screen to indicate the progress.
Note:
The dubbed content will be added to the DVD disc as a
new title.
