Selecting the Scene mode
1. Set the camera to the REC mode.
2. Press the
MODE
button to show the scene mode palette.
3. Use the four-way control to select a desired mode and press
OK
to confirm the setting.
• The higher the ISO value, the grainer you may see in the image.

The camera makes settings suitable for the shooting conditions.
Movie
For recording movie clips.
Shake-Free
Reduce blur caused by camera vibration.
Landscape
Used for the wide scenic views.
Backlight
Shooting the image of backlight object by changing metering.
Night Scene
Shooting the subject while keeping the background night
scenery.
Snow
Used for the beach or snow scenes.
Fireworks
Slow shutter speed to take fireworks exploding.
Building
Enhance the edges of the subject.
High ISO
Portrait
Make people stand out with the background out-of-focus even
in a dark environment. In this mode, higher ISO value is used.
Food
Higher saturation makes food more appetizing.
Text
Enhance the black & white contrast.
Kids
Take a still image to capture moving kids.
Sunset
Enhance the red hue for recording sunset images.
Voice REC
For recording audio.
