Fill the fuel tanks using the
fi
ller points.
The starboard tank feeds the starboard engine; the port tank feeds
the port engine.
A valve to transfer diesel fuel between tanks is located in front of
the tanks in the machinery space.
The gauge transmits the fuel level to the indicator on the control
panel.
NB: The capacity of the fuel tank or tanks shown on the SPECIFI-
CATIONS page may not be fully useable depending on the trim
and load of the boat.
Always keep a fuel reserve of 20% to avoid all risk of stalling.
MAINTENANCE
- Periodically check the condition of the O-ring seal for the
fi
ller
points (to avoid ingress of water).
- Do not shut the fuel valves between every use (except for pro-
longed absence).
- Keep the tanks as full as possible (to avoid condensation).
- Regularly check the state of the fuel system (e.g. pipes, valves,
etc.).
Call in a professional for work on damaged parts of the fuel sys-
tem.
Fuel tanks
Engine problemscan have different origins, one of which is the lack
of clean fuel. The injection pump can rapidly be put out of action
by the presence of water.
The water comes either from condensation caused by the tank
not being kept suf
fi
ciently full, by a
fi
ller cap that is not shut pro-
perly or that has a deteriorated joint.
Regularly clean the sediment
fi
lters.
For all work and the frequency of changes, refer to the engine
instructions.
Fuel
fi
lters
Fuel system valves
The fuel valves are located on the tanks in the machinery space.
The handles under the centre passageway companionway steps
allow these valves to be open and closed from the wheelhouse.
danger
Stop the engines, do not smoke or use a mo-
bile phone whilst
fi
lling the fuel tanks.
To protect the deck from possible fuel spills,
wet it all around the
fi
ller point with seawater
before removing the cap and
fi
lling the tanks.
In order to prevent any water in
fi
ltration,
fuel passes through two
fi
lters, one an
integral part of the engine, the other situated
in the pipework connecting the tank
to the engine (accessed via the machinery space).
