Engine
STARTING
Before starting the engines:
- Open the fuel cocks.
- Open the engine cooling water seacocks.
- Turn on power to the electrical circuit.
Refer to Setting Out paragraph of LEAVING HARBOUR chapter.
ACCESS TO THE ENGINES
The engines are accessed via the hatch aft of the wheelhouse.
CHECKS BEFORE STARTING
- Check the oil level with the oil gauge.
- Check the water level.
- Check the visual indicator lights on the control panel.
FAULT FINDING
If the starter does not turn, check:
- The battery switch.
- The tightness of the battery leads on terminals.
- The electrical voltage.
If the starter turns but the engine does not start, check that:
- Diesel is reaching the engine.
- The diesel
fi
lter is not full of water.
MAINTENANCE
Follow the maintenance requirements in the instructions provided
with the engines.
Read carefully the engine instructions supplied
with the boat which will give you explanations
setting out how the engines work and all operations
that make sure they are used properly.
warning
Never turn the engines on when the boat is
out of the water.
Stop the engines before opening the sole.
If the engines need attention when running,
Keep clear of belts and moving parts.
Refer to the engine manual to

nd and solve faults.
Call your Bénéteau dealer or the dealer
representing the brand of engine.
