Water system - drainage
The main sump is situated at the bottom of the boat. The sump is
emptied by two electric pumps or by a manual pump.
The emergency electric pumps are started by turning on their
switch on the engine control panel.
MAINTENANCE
- Regularly check the operation and water-tightness of the sea-
cocks and through-hull valves.
- Make sure from time to time that the strainer and the bilge are
perfectly clean.
STANDARD MARINE WC
- Open the intake and outlet seacocks.
To empty the bowl:
- Put the pump control lever in the sloping position (FLUSH) and
pump.
To drain the bowl:
- Put the lever in the vertical position (DRY) and pump.
To avoid blocking the toilets, use absorbent paper and pump until
the outlet pipe has been completely emptied.
ELECTRIC MARINE WC
- Open supply and drainage seacocks.
- Engage the circuit breaker marked ‘BORD’.
Please refer to the electric WC user manual for use and mainte-
nance instructions.
In the event of electrical problems, check the WC fuse behind the
electrical panel in the wheelhouse.
Rinse toilets regularly with fresh water.
Close the seacocks after every use.
Sanitary equipment
attention
When the temperature is freezing, do not
forget to drain the cockpit shower, even if
there is someone on board the boat.
A seacock is closed when its handle is at
right angles to the pipe, and open when
its handle is in line with the pipe.
Every outlet seacock in the boat is marked
with a label indicating its function.
Monitor the condition of the different
fi
lters
present in the drainage systems.
When alongside in harbour, use
harbour sanitary facilities, if they exist.
In certain ports or countries it is forbidden
to discharge wastewater,
necessitating the use of black water tanks.
SINK, WASHBASIN AND SHOWER
Open the sink and washbasin seacock before use (accessed via the
hatch in the aft head compartment).
Close seacock after use.
- Clean the shower
fi
lter regularly (accessed beneath passageway
sole).
The shower tray is drained by an electric pump.
- Engage the circuit breaker marked ‘BORD’ on the electrical pa-
nel.
- Turn on the pump switch in the head compartment to drain
water from the shower tray.
