TROUBLESHOOTING
8.1
Built-in-Test Function
PBITs are executed during each power up to make sure that all KA 310 components are operational.
8.2
Power-Up Failures
Annunciations will be displayed on the KI 300. Refer to Table 8-1 for the power-up failures
troubleshooting chart.

"AP OUTPUT FAIL /
DISCONNECT AP"

KI 300 is not receiving data from
the KA 310
Verify the KA 310 is powered.
Verify the connections between the KI 300 and KA 310.
If issue persists return the unit to the manufacturer.
“DATA OUTPUT FAIL”
(caution)
KA 310 failed ARINC I/O Check
Return the unit to the manufacturer.
8.3
In-Flight Failures
Refer to Table 8-2 for the in-flight failures troubleshooting chart.

Return the unit to the manufacturer.
8.4
KA 310 Analog Output to Autopilot Failure
The KA 310 must be properly configured to output analog signals to the autopilot. If the autopilot is not
responding to the KA 310 inputs, verify the following:
Verify the KA 310 is powered
Verify the correct wiring between the KA 310 and associated autopilot
Verify the autopilot configuration setting on the KI 300. Refer to Section 6.2.
