SYSTEM CHECKOUT
This section contains procedures to be used after unit configuration has been completed, as part of the
equipment initial installation process.
7.1
Flight Control System Alignment
7.1.1
KAP 100/KAP 150/KFC 150/KAP 200/KFC 200/KFC225 Flight Control System Alignment
When the KA 310 is installed in the KAP 100/KAP 150/KFC 150/KAP 200/KFC 200/KFC225 Flight Control
System, the system alignment procedures (Gyro Alignment Procedure and FD/AP Checks) as described in
the appropriate STC Installation Manual and supplemented with the KI 300 alignment instructions, must
be performed by the installer.
Refer to the KA310 Autopilot Adapter Approved Model List for the approved aircraft installation.
7.1.2
KI 300/KA 310 AP Alignment Feature
The KI 300 AP Alignment feature in the setup menu removes the need for tilt stand, extender cable, and
gyro air source. The KI 300 must be powered up in setup mode to perform AP Alignment, refer to
section 6.1. To access the autopilot alignment setup page, press the rotary knob until the “AP
Alignment” setup page is displayed. Turn the rotary knob to select “yes” and press the rotary knob
again. Then press the rotary knob to cycle through the Pitch/Roll/Yaw setup pages.
