Examine the main rotor adapters for signs of hard contact
with the rotor static stops or yoke. Examine the main rotor
adapters, yokes and static stops for damage. Make sure they
are correctly attached.
6.
Examine the mast for yielding or deformation.
7.
If you have found no other damage than bent landing gear
crosstube, you can reasonably decide that a true hard landing
did not occur. Do a complete preflight inspection and if you find
no other damage, return the helicopter to service.

If you have found damage other than bent landing gear
crosstubes, or if a true hard landing has occurred, do
step 9
through
step 22

9.
Examine the transmission and mast as follows:
NOTE
If there is any yielding, deformation or damage, the
mast is unserviceable and not repairable.
a.
Examine the mast for signs of yielding or deformation.
b.
Examine the transmission mount points for cracks,
loose, sheared or elongated rivets, studs or bolts, or other
damage. Pay particular attention to the areas that follow:
(1)
The restraint springs and restraint spring
attachments.
(2)
The transmission top case and lift link attach
fittings.
(3)
The transmission outboard quill case and the
forward lift links.
(4)
The transmission redundant pylon up-stop plates
and up-stop pins.
(5)
The left and right pylon fluid mounts.
