Chop
The chop function is a diagnostic function for routers that support chop. It allows you to
switch rapidly between two sources at a particular destination. The chop interval is defined
in the NV9000 configuration. The default chop interval is 6
fields
.
Follow these steps to use chop:
1 Select a destination.
2 Select a source. This is the first source.
3 Press the chop button.
4 Select another source. This is the second source. The chop is immediately activated on
the routers (of the default destination) that support chop.
To terminate the chop, (1) press the chop button again to turn it off, (2) select the
destination you had chosen for the chop, then (3) select any source.
Salvo Mode
The NV9601 enters “salvo mode”

when you press a salvo button. Salvo mode is a
temporary mode, usually brief, where you are given an opportunity to select and consider
the salvo you are about to execute. The NV9601’s display gives you a list of all salvos, system
and local. To execute a salvo, select the salvo and press ‘Take’.
To exit salvo mode, press the ‘Salvo’ button once again.

Menu Mode
The NV9601 enters menu mode when you press a menu button.
The menu has 6 menu choices and an exit function:
Press the selection button corresponding to ‘Exit’ when you want to leave the menu and
return to normal operating mode. Otherwise, press any of the selection buttons to access
the corresponding submenu.
You can also press the ‘Menu’ button again to leave the menu and return to normal
operating mode.
