Resistance Measurement
Ensure that UUT is NOT live. Test voltage polarity at
handle test probe is positive (+).
Open Polaris 3 plus Voltage Tester as described on page
26.
Ensure that UUT is NOT live by carrying out two-pole te-
sting
Connect both test probes to UUT, press key "R" (7) and
read resistance value on display.
The resistance measurement range amounts to 1 ... 1999
Ω
at a resolution of 1
Ω
. The continuity test is disabled.
4.8 Data
Hold
The data hold function enables the memorizing of measure-
ment data during pressing of "DH" key. Now, test probes may
be removed from measurement spot. This function is possi-
ble within both voltage and resistance ranges.
This is of particular use if the scanning of the measurement
spot via test probes requires total operator attention, for
example.

Maintenance
When using Polaris 3 plus Voltage and Continuity Testers in
compliance with the instruction manual, no particular main-
tenance is required. If functional errors occur during normal
operating, our service department will check your instrument
without delay.

Cleaning
Prior to cleaning, remove voltage test from all measurement
circuits. If the instruments are dirty after daily usage, it is ad-
viseable clean them by using a damp cloth and a mild house-
hold detergent. Never use acid detergents or dissolvents for
cleaning. After cleaning, do not use the voltage tester for a pe-
riod of approx. 5 hours.
