4.0 Carrying out Measurements
4.1 Preparation and Safety Measures
Polaris 3 plus Voltage Testers are equipped with a patented
folding mechanism, whereby the test probes are completely
covered when folded.
Opening the Polaris 3 plus Voltage Tester:
Turn test probe downwards and rotate by 180°.
Test probe automatically disengages after 180° rotation.
Do not apply any force. Opening and folding is carried
out without physical effort when using the correct tech-
nique.
Folding the Polaris 3 plus Voltage Tester:
Push test probe firmly into slot.
Firmly press both test probes together and rotate down-
wards by 180°.
The safety references as quoted in paragraph 2.0 have
to be met for each testing (measurement) procedure.
Correct instrument operations are only ensured if batte-
ries are fully operational. A functional test mast be car-
ried out prior to any usage.
