22. GAS CONVERSION
To calibrate the gas valves, enable the calibration function as described in section 22.1 and carry out the following ope-
rations:
1) Calibrating maximum heat output.
Check that the CO2 measured on the flue duct, with the boiler operating at maximum heat capacity, matches that in-
dicated in table 1. If it does not, turn the adjustment screw (V) on the gas valve. Turn the screw clockwise to decrease
the level of CO2 and clockwise to increase it.
2) Calibrating reduced heat output.
Check that the CO2 measured on the flue duct, with the boiler operating at minimum heat capacity, matches that in-
dicated in table 1. If it does not, turn the adjustment screw (K) on the gas valve. Turn the screw clockwise to increase
the level of CO2 and anticlockwise to decrease it.

IMPORTANT:
when converting from natural gas to propane (LPG),
before calibrating the gas valve, as described above, perform the fol-
lowing operations:
• Turn the adjustment screw (V) on the gas valve for the number of
complete turns indicated in table 3;
• Use the AVS 77 climate controller to set parameters 608 and 611
relative to ignition power, as described in section 21. Table 3 shows
the correct values to set.
22.1 ENABLING THE CALIBRATION FUNCTION
CAUTION
if the heating system comprises a single zone at low temperature, set parameter “CHSL” to 45°, as described in section 30.
Access the electronic board programming mode as indicated in section 21.
• Scroll the list of parameters and select parameter OF 555.0 ;
• Set parameter OF 555.0 = 1 and press OK (the function is enabled);
To rapidly set maximum or minimum boiler power, proceed as follows:
• Scroll the list of parameters again and select parameter OF 677 ;
• Set parameter
OF 677 = 100%
and press
OK
; (the boiler will rapidly reach maximum capacity)
• Set parameter
OF 677 = 0%
and press
OK
; (the boiler will rapidly reach minimum capacity)
• Then calibrate the gas valve as described in points 1 and 2 of section 22.
N.B.:
the
CALIBRATION
function lasts 15 minutes, after which it automatically terminates. To exit the function before
calibration has finished, set parameter OF 555.0 = 0 or switch off the boiler.
