BE1-51C Operation By Computer
Table 5-1. Registers Accessible Via The RS-232 And RS-435 Ports - Continued

Description

bit 2 - phase B timing
bit 6 - phase C inhibit
bit 3 - phase C timing
bit 7 - Ground timing
bit 4 - phase A inhibit
bit 8 - spare
54
CALIBRATION
Contains calibration information that relates to the internal CT burden
CONSTANTS
resistance (as calculated at the last calibration procedure on the
[READ ONLY]
selected range). (The register value is 100 times the calculated
burden resistance value.)
55
OUTPUT
This 8-bit register is bit mapped to represent the state of the output
STATUS
relays. A one-bit indicates that the associated relay is energized; a
[READ ONLY]
zero-bit that it is de-energized. (Note that the contacts of all output
relays are of the normally open type, with the sole exception of the
Relay Disabled output which is always of the normally closed type.)
This register is bit mapped to represent the outputcontacts as follows.
bit 0 - unused
bit 4 - spare
bit 1 - Inst 2, or Command Close bit 5 - spare
bit 2 - Inst 1
bit 6 - spare
bit 3 - Timed Trip
bit 7 - spare
56 & 57
POLLING
These two registers are identical in function; the only difference is that
STATUS
57 is automatically cleared each time it is read. Each register repre-
[READ ONLY]
sents the status of the relay with regard to polling initiated by the
managing computer.
A one-bit indicates that new information has been acquired since the
byte was last reset. This byte should be cleared after each
interrogation. (The clearing is automatic after each reading for register
57.
The registers are bit mapped as follows.
Byte 1
