Hydraulic Oil Supply

Important

Do not mix different types of oil.

Important

Use Shell Tellus S2M46 (or equivalent) as
hydraulic oil.

If the oil level is low, open the tank cap and
supply oil.

Tank cap

Tighten the tank cap securely.
Start the engine, raise and lower the mower
units, and turn the steering wheel left and
right.
Move forward and reverse repeatedly
several times.
Raise the mower units and maintain that
position on a level surface, and then check
to see if the oil level is at the middle of the
oil gauge. If necessary, supply oil.
Check underneath the machine for oil
leakage.

Change of Hydraulic Oil

Warning

When you change the hydraulic oil, be sure to
drain it into a bowl and discard it in
accordance with local laws and regulations.

Caution

If the oil emulsifies or if it becomes even
slightly less transparent, change the oil
immediately.

Caution

Be careful with hot oil, which could cause
burns if it contacts your skin.

Important

Use Shell Tellus S2M46 (or equivalent) as
hydraulic oil.

Follow the steps below to remove the old
oil.

Start and run the engine to warm up the
oil.
On a level surface, lower the mower
units, and then stop the engine.
Remove the drain plug of the hydraulic
tank, and then drain the old oil into a
container.

Wind new sealing tape on the drain plug,
and then attach it to the hydraulic tank.
