7. Basic setup procedures
7.6 Installing the X8 truss beam
This procedure is illustrated with a dual truss beam. However, the same procedure is applicable for a single
truss beam.
Necessary tools
No tools.
How to install the X8 truss beam upon the X8 rental tile(s)?
1. Is this a dual truss beam?
If yes, join two X8 rental tiles sideways with each other underneath the truss installation. Ensure that the X8 rental tiles are
aligned with the dual truss beam above. For detailed instructions see "Installing the X8 rental tile", page 45.
If no, place one X8 rental tile underneath the truss installation. Ensure that the X8 rental tile is aligned with the single truss beam
above.
2. Lower the X8 truss beam upon the tile(s). Ensure the all lock handles (reference 1 image 7-12) of the truss beam are in open
position. As a result the locking handles at the truss beam latches and capture the mounting pins of the rental tile(s).

3. Fasten the all lock handles of the truss beam. Push the handle inwards and turn quarter turn clockwise (reference 1 image 7-13).
4. Fasten the two clamps at the top side of the rental tile(s) (reference 3 image 7-13).

5. Repeat from step 1 to install the second truss beam.
6. Join the tiles, attached to the truss beams, sideways together:
a) fasten the two lock handles (reference 2image 7-14) at the vertical adjoining edge. Push the handle inwards and turn quarter
turn clockwise. Ensure that the side pins of the neighboring tile are captured by the locking handles!
b) fasten the clamp at the vertical adjoining edge (reference 3image 7-14).
