10.5 Field replacement of an ILite tile mounted in a second generation rental structure

AUTION
:
The following procedure must be performed by authorized and qualified technical personnel only,
which are thoroughly familiar with the product and all of the proper safety checks of this product. To do
otherwise increases the risk of hazard and injury to the user.

ARNING
:
Both hands must be free for accessing a tile in a LED-wall. Therefore the use of a ladder to access
a tile is forbidden. Only a solid scaffold or a Z-lift is allowed.
Necessary tools
• 8 mm nut driver.
• Slot screw driver (100 x 4 mm).
• 6 shim plates of 0,4 mm.
How to replace an ILite tile in the field ?
1. Disconnect the power cable from the ILite tile.
2. Remove the with plastic caps from the nuts on the black fixation pins.
3. Do you want to replace the tile while the other tiles in the LED-wall still running (hot swap) ?
If yes, leave the data cables into the data ports of the re-sync unit and remove the re-sync unit from the tile by releasing the two
captive screws of the re-sync unit using a slot screw driver.
If no, unplug the data cables from the data ports of the re-sync unit.
4. Remove the four nuts (Q) from the black fixation pins at the back of the ILite rental tile.
Caution: Hold the ILite tile firmly by one of the carrying handles to prevent the tile falls out of the LED-wall.

5. Remove the tile out of the LED-wall with next movements:
a) Grab the tile with both hands by the handles and push the tile forward out of the LED-wall.
b) Rotate the tile diagonally 45°.
c) Pull the tile gently diagonally back through the opening.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the mask, of the LED modules at the front of the tile, while removing the tile.
