1. Introduction
Font overview
• Buttons are indicated in bold, e.g. OK .
• Menu items are indicated in italic .
• Step related notes, tips, warnings or cautions are printed in italic .
• Procedure related notes, tips, warnings or cautions are printed in bold between 2 lines preceded by the corresponding icon.
Portrait mode
This projector is designed to display images in portrait mode rather than landscape mode, which is more common. It has been
derived from a similar projector which displays images in landscape mode. This is why the on screen menu (OSD or On Screen
Display) is rotated over +90°.
In this User guide all of the images such as menu bars, dialog boxes, internal patterns, OSD patterns, etc. are shown in landscape
mode. When the projector is in front table con
fi guration, they will be seen in portrait mode on the screen, i.e. rotated over 90°
compared to what can be seen in the manual.
Example: The images below shows the GUI for the geometry alignment and the GUI for the lens shift menu as it will be visible on
the projected image if the projector is in front table con
fi guration.

Movements indicated on the OSD will be inverted on the image, i.e. the X-axis and Y-axis are rotated 90° CCW.
This means that when the vertical lens shift in the lens shift menu is activated, the image will move horizon-
tally, whereas horizontal lens shift leads to a vertical movement of the image (projector in table con
fi guration).
