8.3 Installation
Upon request, Windows Embedded Standard 7 can be preinstalled at B&R Austria on a suitable
CompactFlash card (min. 8 GB). The PPC700 system is then automatically configured after it
has been switched on for the first time. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes, and the
device will be rebooted a number of times.
8.4 Drivers
All drivers required for operation are preinstalled on the operating system. If an older driver
version is installed, the latest version can be downloaded from the B&R homepage (
www.br-
automation.com ) and installed. A potentially activated "Enhanced Write Filter (EWF)" must be
taken into consideration.
8.4.1 Touch screen driver
A touch screen driver will be automatically installed if a touch controller is detected during the
Windows Embedded Standard 7 setup.
The touch screen driver must be installed manually if a touch controller was not detected during
the Windows Embedded Standard 7 setup or if a an Automation Panel 800/900 has been
connected after setup. The driver can be downloaded from the download area on the B&R
homepage (
www.br-automation.com ). A potentially activated "Enhanced Write Filter (EWF)"
must be taken into consideration.
