STARTING UP AND REGULATION
•
Check that there is water in the boiler and that the gate valves of
the system are open.
•
Make sure that the combustion products may be freely vented
through the boiler and flue dampers.
•
Make sure that there is no electrical connection (bridge) betwe
-
en second stage thermostat terminals or that the thermostat
itself is not connected.
•
Act on the first stage air adjusting cam to place the air damper in
the position necessary for allowing a suitable air flow.
•
Switch off the master switch and the boiler and safety thermo
-
stats and then start up the motor and ignition transformer.
•
With the first flame burner running, adjust, if necessary, combu
-
stion air delivery.
•
When regulation is over, stop the burner and start it again to
make sure that it starts properly..
•
In order to get a standard ignition, regulate air to the bare
minimum.
•
If ignition takes place normally, disconnect the burner with the
main switch and connect the second flame thermostat.
•
Set the combustion air regulator in the position you presumably
need for adding the second flame (see adjustment servomotor
drawing code 0002932130).
•
Now connect the burner again, it will operate with first and
second flames.
•
Act on the second flame air-regulating cam for adjusting air
delivery according to specific conditions.
The burner is equipped with a flame disk adjusting screw which opti
-
mises combustion by decreasing or increasing the air flow between
the disk and the head.
•
Normally, you need to decrease the air flow between disk and
head when the burner is running with limited fuel delivery, this
air flow must be proportionally larger when the burner is working
with increased fuel delivery.
•
Changing this position normally requires correcting the positions
of the first and second flame air adjusting damper and then
checking that ignition takes place properly.
