IMPORTANT
The operating ranges are obtained from test boilers corresponding to Standard EN676 and are indicative of the burner-boiler combina -
tion. For correct working of the burner, the size of the combustion chamber must correspond to current regulations; if not the manufactu -
rers must be consulted.
The burner shall not operate outside its specific operating range.
CALCULATION OF BURNER THERMAL OUTPUT
The gas flow rate required by the heat generator can be calculated by dividing the thermal input at the generator furnace by the lower heating
value of natural gas.
EXAMPLE:
Useful thermal input of heat generator (Pu) = 210 kW
Efficiency of generator (m) = 0,92
Thermal input at generator furnace (Pf):
Pf = Pu/m = 210/0,92= 228 kW
The value Hi=9.45 kWh/Stm3 is assumed for the lower heating value of natural gas, referred to standard conditions (temperature t=15° C and
pressure p=1013 mbar).
Calculation of natural gas flow rate (qg) required by the generator, referred to standard conditions:
qg=Pf/Hi=228/9.45=24 Stm3/h
