Care to be taken while parking the vehicle for long periods:

Park the vehicle in covered, dry and if possible well ventilated premises, Shift into lower gear.
• Remove the battery terminal cables (first remove the cable from the negative terminal).
• Make sure the hand brake is not engaged.
• Clean and apply protective wax on painted surfaces.
• Clean & protect shiny metal parts using commercially available compounds.
• Sprinkle talcum powder on the rubber windscreen glass & wiper and lift the wiper blade off the
glass.
• Ensure at least 1 window is kept partially open.
• Cover the vehicle with a cloth or perforated plastic sheet. Do not use sheets of non-perforated
plastic as they do not allow moisture on the vehicle body to evaporate.
• Inflate the tyres to 0.5 kg/cm2 above the normal specified pressure and check it at regular
intervals.
• Check the battery charge every six weeks.
• Do not drain the engine coolant.
