6. REPLACING THE BATTERIES
The Security Box requires 4×size ‘AA’ (1.5V R06) batteries.
Replace the old batteries, then the display will scan the status of the electronic lock
system automatically. If it is in order, the display will show ‘good’.
Use of alkaline batteries is recommended.
7. OVERRIDE INSTRUCTION TO OPEN THE SECURITY BOX
For your convenience, we have engineered a manual override system for your
Security Box. If you forget or misplace your combination, remove the battery cover
plate and take out the batteries, you will find the keyhole, insert the key into the
keyhole and turn it in a counter- clockwise direction, turn the knob in a clockwise
direction. This will manually open your Security Box at any time.
8. INSTALLING THE SECURITY BOX
To reduce the risk of theft of the Security Box, it can be secured to floor, wall or in a
cupboard. For your convenience, there are four holes (diameter 8mm) both in the
bottom and on the back, therefore it can be fixed by the expansion bolts supplied.

CAUTION:
The Security Box is heavy and should be placed on a solid and secure
surface. The Security Box should be affixed as shown in diagram 3.
4. PROGRAMMING THE CODE
NOTICE:
The Security Box can be programmed with two sets of codes.
For your safety, after opening the Security Box and installing the batteries, you
should programme two sets of your new codes to take the place of two sets of
factory-preset codes.
Programming the user code
A. Press the red button (b) (see diagram 2), then release it and the display on the
panel will show ‘SET CodE’.
B. Now press from 3 to 8 numbers that you wish to use as a new user code, and
confirm by pressing the button ‘START’. The display will show ‘IN’ and your
inputting numbers. It means that the new user code is confirmed.
Programming the master code
A. Press the red button, then release it and press the button ‘START’.The display
will show ‘oLd CodE’.
B. Now input the original master code (factory-preset code: 8,8,8,8) and press the
button ‘START’. The display will show ‘SET’. Now press from 3 to 8 numbers that
you wish to use as a new master code, and confirm by pressing the button
‘START’. Now the display will show ‘rE-InPUT’.
C. Now enter your inputting numbers again and confirm by pressing the button
‘START’. The display will show ‘IN’ and your inputting numbers. It means that the
new master code is confirmed.
If you or an intruder uses the incorrect group of numbers, the red light (g) will be on
and the display will show ‘Error’ and it will not open.
If the incorrect combination code is used 4 times consecutively, the display will
show ‘Error’ and the buzzer (h) will sound for approximately 3 minutes.
The correct code cannot be entered until after this 3 minutes delay.
The override key can however be used to open the door during this three minutes.
5. BATTERY REPLACEMENT WARNING
To test the batteries, just press the button ‘START’. If the batteries are low, the
display will show ‘Lo-BAE’, and you should replace the batteries.
