To lock the end of the seam:
1. Take one stitch off the end of the seam (fig. A).
2. Raise the presser foot and bring the needle(s) to the highest
position. Pull back gently on the fabric to clear the stitch fingers.
3. Turn the fabric over, end to end (fig. B), and reposition it under the
presser foot with the needle at the seam edge, aligned with the previ-
ous needle line (fig. C).
4. Lower presser foot and sew 5-6 stitches over the previous stitches,
being careful not to cut them. You may want to flip the cutting blade
lock switch clockwise to the lock position. Pivot the fabric and chain
off, (fig. D-E).
