Additive Injection
Once the fuel polishing process is complete, AFC can be injected into the fuel tank using the accessory selector switch.
Before injecting AFC into the system, ENSURE ALL WATER IS REMOVED FROM THE PRE-FILTER VESSEL.
Note: AFC-705, or additives containing a surfactant, will emulsify free water into the fuel.
1. Switch the diverter valve to the Bypass Mode position (Figure 10.1).
2. Place the AFC container into the leak basin (Figure 10.2).
3. Remove cap and place the injection accessory suction line into the AFC container.
4.
Calculate the proper dosing and add the specified amount to the AFC container.
