AVG Rescue CD – Main Screen

The version of AVG that is distributed on the AVG Rescue CD offers a limited
number of functions, compared to the full standalone Professional version for
regular operating systems. You can only use the basic testing interface, which
allows access to updates, computer system testing for viruses or malware and
elementary configuration. AVG is able to look for threats on various drives and in
the registry entries as well.

Also you can run additional 

AVG Rescue CD tools (chapter 6)

 from this interface

(AVG Command Line, freeCommander, Map Network Drive, AVG Ping, AVG Registry
Editor, AVG IP Config, AVG Scan Disk and AVG Notepad).

Note: When you close the main AVG Rescue CD dialog window, your computer will
be restarted!

The main interface offers the following main buttons:
